This week I got to do a “mini” maternity shoot with these sweet friends of ours. Mark and Toby have been friends for years and Mark is one of the pastors at our church. I’m thankful for Toby’s group of friends because I have become very close with all of their wives! In the beginning, we all hung out when the guys hung out, but we didn’t really know each other. Then one day Beth organized a girls night and said, “we all need to have girls nights since they always have guys nights” and the rest is history! We have all been good friends since.
Beth is one of my best friends and I love that we have been around for so many of each others milestones. I was around when they got engaged, I was at their wedding, Mark helped Toby get into the church on the night he proposed to me, Beth did my makeup for my wedding, she encouraged me as I started my business and let me practice on her, and I got to watch her become a mom for the first time (and now again!). I am so thankful that we have grown so close over the years. It’s great to have good people in your life!
I don’t photograph families often, in fact rarely if at all. But very occasionally for family (or friends who feel like family) will I try my hand at posing children as well! Mark and Beth’s little girl Molly joined them for their maternity shoot and she is the cutest thing you’ve ever seen. Molly is going to be a big sister soon and she kept saying “baby” during the shoot, so I think she’s pretty excited! Beth also kept having her say “I love you Chelsea” so Molly and I are basically best friends. Mark & Beth, thank you both for letting me capture this special time in your lives! I can’t wait to meet baby boy Jeschke.
Do you want to win your own sweetheart shoot? I’m giving away a free anniversary/engagement/or maternity shoot to one lucky couple! Tomorrow is the last day to enter, so make sure you get your name in there! You can read more rule and enter HERE.
